New beginnings

KELTON has always taken a lot of pride in looking after its people, which has most recently been recognised by being awarded Silver Accreditation by Investors in People (read more about our IIP Certification here). And we are even prouder to see our efforts being actively and successfully reflected in the company’s remarkably low turnover rates, with several of the colleagues having been with KELTON for well over a decade.

Unfortunately, good things still do come to an end from time to time, and so we would like you to join us in wishing Iain Black, part of the Software Service Support Team at KELTON, all the best for his upcoming retirement after 16 years of working for the company.

Iain started with KELTON on 11 March 2002 as an IT Technical Assistant. As an avid football supporter he fit right in, however, did get a lot of stick for being a huge Partick Thistle fan.

At his retirement do in a local hostelry in Aberdeen, Iain shared that he is looking forward to improving his handicap by spending much of his freed-up time on the golf course. It remains to be seen how this will be balanced with the DIY projects his wife Joanna has in mind. Everyone at KELTON would like to thank Iain for his fantastic support over the years, and wishes him all the best for a new chapter in his life.

Iain will be replaced by Willie McRae, who joins the company initially on a part time basis while he is completing his HNC in Computing. In his free time, Willie is a keen hill walker, and we are looking forward to welcoming him to the KELTON family.
