Last week, KELTON hosted another mixed group of budding and experienced Flow Measurement professionals from around the world for one of their renowned Liquid and Gas Flow Measurement training courses held in Aberdeen, UK.
Led by Derek Scott, one of KELTON’s Flow Measurement experts and dedicated Training Manager, the course covered all critical aspects of flow measurement from the design of measurement systems and use of uncertainty calculations, through to the operation of secondary and quality measurement instruments.
“Fiscal and custody transfer systems play a crucial role in the hydrocarbon industry as they have a direct impact on the revenue stream and profitability. A small error due to the applied methods and measurement may cost the buyer or the seller millions of dollars” commented Derek who is a strong advocate of continued professional development (CPD).
“It is important for all flow measurement professionals to continue their development and stay abreast of the latest processes, procedures and standards, further enhancing measurement knowledge across the industry.”
KELTON's flow measurement training courses – having evolved to accommodate the latest technologies and standards – has been successfully delivered to over 5,000 delegates across the years.
The latest beneficiaries of KELTON’s expertise were keen to praise both Derek and the course content:
“Derek delivered an excellent course that combined theory with real-world practical examples to bring it to life. Very engaging and informative.”
“Enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor who shared his experiences of different metering systems and gave troubleshooting examples that I can use back at work.”
Delegates attending the KELTON three-day course can request a CPD Certificate of Attendance to support their formal CPD requirements for their professional body, institute or employer.
KELTON host several training courses around the world each year to support flow measurement professionals at all levels, including bespoke training packages designed specifically for your organisation.
The next scheduled training courses are later this month in Perth, Australia and in Istanbul, Turkey.
