Remote Auditing

posted in News

KELTON has recently completed an assignment for Premier Oil Vietnam Offshore B.V. (POVO) - auditing two metering systems (one gas and the other condensate) on board the Lewek Emas FPSO in the Chim Sao field in Vietnam.

The scope of the audit was nothing new to either KELTON or POVO.  But this time, because of the limitations of travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, the audit was completed remotely by Ian Reid, KELTON Consultant, from Aberdeen in Scotland.

Utilising the latest in connected technologies, the audit was completed on time and with considerable cost savings to POVO as there were no mobilisation or demobilisation involved and no associated costs with travel or self-isolation.  And by working closely with the customer and setting an agreed audit plan, we were able to avoid any potential issues from working remotely, such as time difference and resource availability.

Mr Bui Van Quang, the POVO metering technical authority, was pleased with the outcome of the audit, the professionalism of Ian Reid and the quality of the report issued by KELTON.

Ian Reid also thanked Mr Quang and his team for their assistance during the audit as its success was dependent on the quality of the information received and the support of the local team on board the Lewek Emas FPSO.

KELTON are currently active with other remote audits around the world.  Find out more about our Remote Services here.
