K-VIEW.NET
Reliable real time graphical data logging
» Saves time
» Increases accuracy
» Provides data you can trust
Even in ideal laboratory conditions, it takes a high level of skill to produce repeatable measurements when calibrating differential pressure (DP) transmitters at line-pressure. When those measurements are made in an industrial environment, such as Fiscal Workshop, the challenges posed are even greater. Draughts, temperature variations and vibration can all have an adverse influence on the results.
With KELTON’s real-time graphical software K-VIEW, however, you can confidently monitor the output of a DP transmitter during calibration to spot trends and subtle changes in generated DP which would not be revealed on a DMM display. By capturing data over a period in which you can be sure the pressure is stable and averaged to take account of oscillations and random fluctuations, you can significantly increase the accuracy of your measurements. Also, by balancing pistons and determining stability more efficiently, calibration time is greatly reduced.
Fast, flexible and effective capture and analysis
K-VIEW uses a high-quality interface to capture data directly from your digital millimetre (DMM). The capture rate is dependent on the resolution and only limited by the integration time of your meter. The fact that data is recorded directly from your calibrated DMM ensures that every measurement is traceable.
Once displayed, the output can be ‘frozen’. You can then select a representative section, calculate its mean value and display it in current, voltage and engineering units. You can convert the voltage output to engineering units using the ranges of your transmitters and the actual value of your resistor.
K-VIEW reduces the time needed to complete calibration. In many cases ‘as-found’ calibrations are being reported when the transmitter is within tolerance. This system gives you the perfect fusion of speed and accuracy.
