Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Engineer based in our head office in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development Manager, drawing on both technical knowledge and commercial acumen to support the sale of KELTON's industry-leading consultancy services and software applications

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Effective selling of KELTON flow measurement consultancy services and software applications
  • Assisting with the preparation and follow up of quotations
  • Involvement in the development of KELTON marketing material
  • Producing business development reports (BDRs) for visits and telephone calls
  • Maintaining all aspects of Dynamics CRM 365, including accounts, contacts, opportunities, quotes, sales pipelines, etc.
  • Attending and contributing to periodic Business Strategy and Marketing meetings
  • Contributing to KELTON financial planning and forecasts
  • Supporting Senior Management at presentations, visits, exhibitions or training courses
  • Demonstrating KELTON software application both face-to-face and via video conference

Specialised Technical Knowledge and Skills

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Drive, motivation and enthusiasm to succeed
  • The ability to work under pressure to deadlines, employing a methodical and conscientious approach
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and customers
  • Confidence to present in varying group situations
